Naser Kargar
EdS, LPC, CPCS
Lead Therapist, Owner & Supervisor
Naser Kargar is the founder and lead therapist at East Counseling and Psychotherapy. With 13 years of experience, he established the practice with a passion for serving the community and helping citizens in Buford and nearby cities.
He graduated from Georgia State University and worked for 5 years at Anchor Hospital in south Atlanta before establishing East Counseling in 2013. His therapy approach with adults is Gestalt therapy, focusing on here and now, helping clients gain awareness and live in the present moment.
He specializes in treating anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship issues, stress, and self-esteem concerns. His style is active and experiential, working with clients who have past trauma experiences to help them gain mastery of their lives.
Naser is trained in play therapy for children and has a dedicated play room for young clients. He also specializes in group therapy and has been a supervisor for 5 years, mentoring freshly graduated clinicians.

Amanda is an empathetic and dedicated counselor providing effective and evidence-based treatment for individuals, couples, and families seeking healing and personal growth. She is passionate about fostering a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from various modalities including Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, motivational interviewing, and play therapy for children.
Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Monmouth University and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is currently pursuing her LAPC license under the supervision of Naser Kargar, EdS, LPC.

Saralan Beasley

Associate Professional Counselor
Saralan has been working at East Counseling and Psychotherapy since June 2022, under the supervision of Naser Kargar EdS, LPC. She is certified as a LAPC in the state of Georgia and is currently working towards her LPC licensure.
She received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Georgia Southern University, with her Master's degree in Counselor Education specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Saralan is eclectic in her approach to therapy, believing each person is unique and needs something different to grow and work through their trauma and life challenges. With children and teens, she enjoys utilizing aspects of art and play therapy.
